How does the personality system work?+
Every Mii has 4 sliders (Movement, Speech, Energy, Thinking) set during creation. The slider values determine which of 16 personality types they get. Use our Personality Calculator to find yours instantly.
How do I share Miis? I heard online sharing was removed.+
Nintendo removed built-in online Mii sharing, but the community built TomodachiShare.com as an alternative. You can also share locally via Switch wireless. See our full Mii Sharing guide.
What is the population cap?+
Up to 70 Miis can live on your island. Up to 8 Miis can share one house. When children grow up, you can send them off the island to free up space.
Can same-sex couples get married?+
Yes! The new "dating preferences" system lets each Mii date any gender combination, or none at all (aromantic setting). This is a major addition vs the 3DS version.
What are Warm Fuzzies?+
Warm Fuzzies are the island's happiness currency. You earn them by helping Miis, resolving problems, and completing milestones. They power the Wishing Fountain upgrade path.
